CABLE MANAGEMENT & PROTECTION: CONDUIT

Conduit

PVC conduit is the lightest in weight compared to other conduit materials, and usually lower in cost than other forms of conduit. Conduit is available in a range of wall thicknesses, including a thin-wall variety. Most of the various fittings made for metal conduit are also available in PVC form. The plastic material resists moisture and many corrosive substances. Conduit can be heated and bent, by using heating tools designed for the purpose, fitting to any design.

A conduit pipe is designed for more than one purpose. One of which is for routing wires by safely grouping them together. The primary use of cable conduit is for safety. Cable Conduit isolates wire to protect cable from exposure thereby reducing the risk of short-circuits or fires.

The connectivity is another benefit of applying conduit to your cable. Cable Conduit group all inner wires together, therefore more solid and structured, isolating them from other wire connections.

Placing cables in a protective sleeve also makes maintenance easier because there is no complication as to where each wire goes.

Split Flexible Conduit

Split conduit is also flexible and used for running cable protection in electrical installations, machinery and buildings. Split conduit allows cable to bend around corners without kinking. The split within the conduit allows it to be installed easily onto pre-installed wiring.
